spiritual health is being connected to something greater than yourself and having a set of values, principles, morals and beliefs that provide a sense of purpose and meaning to life, then using those principles to guide your actions. Finding meaning and purpose may be a lifelong process that evolves based on your own unique circumstances, individual experiences, and how the world affects you. Along with your emotional, mental and physical health, your level of spiritual wellness often shifts throughout your life.
It is natural to experience a variety of emotions along the path to spiritual wellness – both positive (hope, forgiveness, acceptance, joy) and negative (doubt, fear, disappointment, conflict).
spiritual health has the power and capability to make our decisions and choices easier, ground us during periods of change and give us the resilience to survive with inner peace in the face of adversity. Having a spiritual element in our lives may even help us heal when suffering from a physical or mental condition as well. What causes us to descend in our spiritual health is following the ego instead of our soul, or when the ego is not in alignment with the soul, this can affect our spiritual health in a major way.
This is where The Ego & Soul Integration must take place to achieve infinite growth, and maintain your spiritual health.
But most who are seeking a spiritual path, or spiritual healing are in war with their inner selves, and there seem to be a battle of the ego & soul. Most think having negative feeling & emotions make them automatically a negative person, but we all have them, it's what we do with them that matters the most.
As spirtual beings in human form, we all have a soul and we have an ego, that’s our design. We can’t take a shortcut to enlightenment by denying our ego. This, eventually, will lead us further away from our soul, because we don’t recognize yet that our ego is actually made to help strengthen our soul. The reason we feel so conflicted between our soul and our ego is because, we are living in two worlds, the physical world and the spiritual world. We are spiritual beings having a human experience. Our ego expresses our own unique versions of the physical world we live in, and our soul is the expression of our spiritual world we live in.
Both must become one in order for you to become whole in your spiritual health & on your journey of spiritual enlightenment.
MENTAL , EMOTIONAL, & PHYSICAL HEALTH
Our physical, mental & Emotional health is what we use for self-care and life balance, but we must also keep in mind that all these categories of health are actually strongly connected to each other and influence one another.
One of these connections is the Mind-Body Connection, which is the link between our emotional and mental health (such as thoughts, attitudes, and behaviors) and our physical health. Our physical body impacts our mood, and our emotions.
With all of these aspects combined, they play a major role in influencing our overall health. If you’ve ever felt your stomach tighten up when you were anxious, fearful, or worried or the headache you get from feeling stressed, you’ve experienced the mind-body connection. Our emotions affect our immune system, as negative emotions can cause an increase in inflammation, pain, & disease in the body. Like stress it can affect the body abilities to get rid of illness and diseases, in fact, it can increase the chances of it getting worse, so your emotional state good or bad can affect your overall well being.Our outlook, our thoughts, our emotions, our beliefs, can influence our physical health, and this can become a self-perpetuating cycle. For example, let's say you’re struggling with a lot of stress, which weakens your immune system so you’re more likely to catch a cold, and then being actual sick with an illness. Now this is making it harder for you to do all the things you need to do during your day, so you get more stressed, and that keeps your immune system weak so you stay sick even longer, or the cold gets worse. This is how the mind, and body is connected and emotions play a huge role in this connection. Also your diet plays a huge role in the way you act on an spiritual, emotional & mental level as well. An unhealthy diet is likely to increase issues like stress, anxiety, and even more serious illnesses like diabetes and cancers. Meanwhile, eating a more natural diet of fruits and vegetables will increase more positive thoughts, feelings, acts, and ways of being, and improve your overall health in all aspects.
